Quaker Parrots

Quakers are entertaining birds that are known to often be great talkers and can learn tricks quite easily and are motivated by treats and praise. They make great pets. They get their name from the quaking/bobbing they do with their head. They need attention and time out of their cage or they become bored and depressed if left alone too often. Quakers can be pretty loud at times. They love to chew and forage so they need plenty of toys that are swapped out often. Quakers are illegal in some states and others carry restrictions, so be sure to check your state’s laws on keeping them as pets CHECK STATES HERE . They are about 12” long and weigh 90-110g. They live between 25-30 years.   A cage for a Quaker should be a MINIMUM 24” x 18” x 24” We always recommend the largest you can fit and afford. Wean at about 9 weeks old
